Meet Gravity
Thanks for checking in! My name is Gravity (aka Grav, Gravy, Wavy Gravy). I was found down in Tennessee back in April 2020 wandering around with a broken back. The pawsome rescue, All 4's Rescue immediately took me in and partnered with Paws New England to get me back surgery just a few days later. The surgeon realized I had a lacerated spinal cord so my prognosis of regaining feeling, sensation, walking, and the ability to control my potty habits was completely unknown.
During recovery my knees locked in place which have actually beneffited me greatly! Since they don't bend, I can actually walk and run... FAST. I can play bow and pawty with all my friends and I am ONE HAPPY BEACH DUDE! I also started some acupuncture and basic physical therapy. Then in November of 2020 I made the journey up north to MA where I've been fostered ever since.
I currently attend PT twice a week at Boston Animal Hospital and I love my Aunties so very much. I have a foSis, SkyBear who loves to rage with me, and my Foster Momma owns WAGS Charlestown, so I have tons of sleepover pawties with all my best furfriends!
I'm still on the hunt for my Happily FURever After Home. I loveee dogs, cats, babies, kids & humans. I scream bark when I'm excited and run away from vaccum cleaners and anything that resembles a pole. I am the happiest pupper on the planet and just want lots of playtime and snuggs!!!!

Medical Needs
1
Expressing bladder & Bowels
-The biggest medical issue is that Grav is fecal and urinary incontinent. He wears a belly band in the house that needs to be changed every few hours and he also needs to be expressed to both pee and poop. There is a video how-to on his Instagram and it really is super easy!
- Time Management: Prone to UTI's like most partially/paralyzed pups. He should be expressed every few hours. Does not need to be expressed in the middle of the night of course!
2
Skin & Allergy Management
-Skin: Because of how he flips his back feet when he walks he needs to be in braces and or boots to protect his nails from being quicked outside. He loves to play hard so sometimes his legs and feet get abrasions on them that need to be cleaned
-Allergies: He has had a tough time finding the right food over the years. He's currently doing great on Open Farm Raw mix- Wild Ocean while we are transitioning him fully to a raw diet. His paws and groin area can get a tad inflamed so keeping an eye on those and cleaning them every few days is needed.
3
Weekly Physical Therapy
Grav currently attends PT once a week at Boston Animal Hospital
-Works on strength & balance
-Gets laser therapy for his tootsies, groin area, and belly which can turn red from friction in his belly band
-He also gets a massage since his upper body works so hard!
-Gets routine urinalysis while we deal with frequent UTIs.
-Provides instructions on how to best handle cuts, scrapes, inflamed paws, etc.
Interested in Adopting?
*Please make sure that every member of the family is on board with adopting Gravity, before submitting an application!*
Overall:
-Looking for someone who can meet his medical needs. You definitely do not need to have any medical experience to apply for him. Possibly someone who works from home or has a dog walker 2x a day
-Kids: LOVES children of all ages, especially likes to smooch babies
-stairs: he can go up a few steps with assistance, but needs to be carried down all stairs
-LOVES every single dog, loves having a fur friend to play with, run around with, play tug, etc
-Needs to be expressed to pee/poop every few hours so while it’s easy, it’s just more about making sure you keep an eye on the clock since he’s so prone to UTIs (currently not on antibiotics but could change)
-needs to wear boots/braces for walks, boots for when he’s outside in general unless is on the grass
-Overall happy-go-lucky dude who loves nothing more than to hang outside as often as possible with a comfy bed, some fur-friends, and lotssss of toys
